Tips for achieving a modern, simple and functional spare room


“Bedding with character”

Bedding can add personality to a simple room by choosing colours that are bold. Choosing bedding with prints or tones can add depth to a room instantly. What I love about choosing bedding is that, it is interchangeable. A different set could be used another time to change the feel of a room.

Key Tip: If you’re buying more than one set for a spare room, choose colours that compliment each other. For example, If you chose the plum set above, the next set could be a lighter purple or even something pink toned. Simple curtains or blinds would be good so you don’t have to stick to the colour of the window coverings.

Simple decor plaques can add a personal feel to a spare room. They’re affordable, effective and timeless. Here are a few of my choices:
